Coast Beer - Hazy IPA

The Coast Beer company is based in Edinburgh, but this India Pale Ale is brewed by De Proufbrouwerij in Belgium (also favoured by Mikkeller). The beer was launched in 2019 and is vegan-friendly. It makes use of Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. It has low carbonation and loses its modest white head quite quickly. The aroma is light and fruity and the taste is much the same, with not much malt base to the brew. After a mouthful or two it leaves a slightly off-putting sour taste. The lack of much malt or bitterness makes for an unusual beer.
