Laine - King Limbo

Laine is based in Sussex but also has two brewpubs in Clapham and Brighton, as well as an experimental brewery in Hackney. King Limbo is an IPA but it has quite a dark brown body for such as a style. As is increasingly common in the world of AF beers, it is unfiltered as this assists in giving the beer a fuller body. There are plenty of hops in this King - Summit, Mosaic, Citra and Columbus - all of which means that the aroma packs a powerful tropical fruit punch. The taste is similarly fruity - particularly grapefruit, orange and melon. There's a hint of spice in there too. The beer is perhaps a little gassy in the mouth. The aftertaste has a dry and bitter bite to it, but not excessively so.
