Mikkeller - Beer Geek Flat White

According to Wikipedia, a flat white is a coffee drink consisting of espresso with a "microfoam" of steamed milk. It has a higher proportion of coffee to milk than a latte and so allows the espresso to dominate the flavour. And herein lies the issue with this oatmeal stout. It looks and smells the part certainly. But the Danish brewery have allowed (as per Wikipedia!) the coffee to dominate all else. The beer is smooth to drink but the astringency of the coffee blunts the overall pleasure. Too much like a chilled espresso. The beer unsurprisingly contains milk sugar and so is unsuitable for those on a vegan diet.
