Veltins - Alkoholfrei

A German pilsner, one that is produced by alcohol removal rather than by a resticted fermentation method. There is a slight yeasty haze to the yellow body and a decent head is formed upon dispensing the brew into a glass. The aroma suggests a fruity sweetness and this is confirmed upon tasting. A delicate citrus note is also present. Although there is some bitterness, the dominant taste is one of sweetness. The aftertaste is quite dry. It would make a good accompaniment to a spicy meal perhaps, but on its own it is rather nondescript.
