Hambleton Point Five

Hambleton is based in Ripon in Yorkshire and brews alcoholic beers in the main. Point Five is an AF pale ale which utilises American hops with the malted barley and it also includes lactose which probably assists with firming up the body. The amber coloured beer is very lively out of the bottle so have your glass at the ready. Unsurprising then that it creates a thick head of foam. It persists too, for at least as long as it took me to drink the full glass. The beer has a pleasing hoppy and fruity aroma without being too in-your-face. Tastewise Point Five is a beautiful combination of pine and tropical fruit, sitting on a subtle toffee base. The mouthfeel is firm and the carbonation level is spot on. The finish is crisp and dry. Thankfully this beer comes in a 500ml bottle but that still isn't enough! Top of the class, Hambleton.
