M&S Low Alc Pale Ale
The retailer M&S utilise the services of Suffolk brewer Adnams to create this 0.5% ABV pale ale, served up in a 330ml can. The listed ingredients don't give much away in terms of grains or hops used ("malted barley and hops"). There is a resinous character on the nose once released into the glass and a moderate and persisting frothy white head is created. The taste has a well-balanced character - caramel, orange and pine are to the fore, whilst the body and carbonation are both light. The finish is crisp and a little bitter. All in all it is a very refreshing brew, it's just not got the most exciting name.
