AEgir Brewery - Minus 5

This is a brewery that grew from one man homebrewing in New York to an international operation based in Norway, exporting to a dozen countries. Not bad for a homebrewer. The brewery is named after a Norse god whom Odin considered to be the best brewer in the world, so the bar has been set high. A large range of beers are brewed, clearly the brewery are constantly experimenting. Minus 5 is their pitch at a low alcohol beer. It is a gluten-free product. In the glass it is a pale brew, with a slight hoppy nose and a light mouthfeel, bordering on thin. It's pleasant enough without being particularly characterful. I think even Odin would say that there is room for some improvement.
