Big Drop - Poolside DDH IPA

DDH stands for Double Dry Hopped. So instead of only adding one amount of hops at the cold stage of the process the brewer adds twice as much. Or the same amount on two occasions. Definitely more hops though. Perhaps one could think of it as a marketing term, meaning really hoppy. Considering it is rammed full of Azacca, Chinook, Mosaic and Motueka hops, Poolside is surprisingly reticent on the nose but then it explodes in a tropical fruit festival on the palate. Some beers have a powerful aroma but then just don't deliver on the taste, Poolside on the other hand is just the opposite to that. The taste is crisp and bitter, dominated by lime and pine but it does have the full fruit bowl spectrum going on. Poolside has an impressively high International Bitterness Units (IBU) score of 62. You have been warned.
