West Berkshire Brewery - Solo Pale Ale

WBB's Solo AF pale ale is brewed using malted barley, wheat and hops. A pale yellow body briefly underlies a foamy white head which soon disappears. Pineapple, pine and mango aromas provide a very pleasing start to proceedings. The taste has a sweet caramel base with the expected tropical fruits well to the fore. It has a rather thin and gassy mouthfeel and after the sweetness subsides there is quite a dry finish. Having finished the can, I found my thirst wasn't really quenched, something which this style of beer should achieve I feel. There's not much distinctive character in this brew, but Solo is pleasant enough.
