Nethergate - Venture Point Five
Nethergate brewery is located in Sudbury, tucked away in the middle of East Anglia. This is their 0.5 % ABV take on the original 3.7 % version. It comes in a hefty 500 ml bottle and the listed ingredients include malted barley, wheat and hops. The beer is suitable for a vegan diet. A wondeful frothy head fills the glass as you pour and the nose is slightly floral and resinous. The taste is somewhat sweet with just a touch of orange. The hop presence is very restrained. A thin mouthfeel leads to a mildly hoppy finish. The overall impression is that it does leave much of an overall impression. It's not unpleasant but this particular venture is too watery to be memorable.
