Butcombe - Goram Zero
Butcombe is a Bristol-based brewery and this is the AF version of their Goram IPA. It comes in a 330ml bottle and has an ABV of no more than 0.5%. The recipe includes malted barley, wheat and both English and American hop varieties. The head is quickly lost upon pouring, whilst on the nose it has a strong and inviting whiff of butterscotch. The taste is of a traditional British bitter - a simple affair of maltiness topped off with a moderately bitter hop character. The mouthfeel lacks body and the finish is clean and fresh. Goram Zero was not unpleasant but was let down by that watery mouthfeel.
