Brew By Numbers - Pale Ale
This 0.5% brew comes from London in a 440 ml can and is unfined, unfiltered and unpasteurised. The mash involves barley, maize and oats whilst the hops are declared as Citra and Centennial. The beer is vegan and is surprisingly clear upon pouring. The head is lost rather quickly. The aroma is one of fizzy fruit - think lemon and sherbet. With such a pairing of hops the taste is pretty much what one would expect - citrus fruits to the fore, particularly grapefruit and gooseberry. There is a lot of carbonation and the body is disappointingly thin. The finish is both clean and short but with just a touch of sweetness. Not 1 I'll be coming back to, methinks.
