Athletic Brewing - Run Wild IPA

Athletic Brewing is based in Connecticut, USA. The company only brew low alcohol drinks - which is of course suggested by the name. This IPA utilises five American types of hop and the organic malts are from America and Germany. It appears slightly flat when poured. The beer itself is a light copper colour. The aroma is modest and suggests lemon, grapefruit and gooseberry with some bready undertones. Maltiness and a grainy character is more apparent in the taste and the mouthfeel is quite thin. The hops are certainly there but are not as dominant as one would expect in an IPA. The bitterness is on the low side.
