Thornbridge - Zero Five

Thornbridge brewery is set in the Derbyshire Peak District and dates from 2005. This, their low alcohol pale ale was previously called Big Easy. It is a beer which utilises both Amarillo and Cascade hops. The body is a golden yellow and creates vitually no sustaining head. Orange, grapefruit and peach are prominent in the aroma and the taste is slightly fruity too, together with a sweetish caramel note. The body is thin, gassy and watery, and the short aftertaste is dry. Unfortunately, the attractive aroma promised more than the taste delivered. Fair to middling at best.
